You don't need to be an expert to start

If terms like "liquidity sweep" or "CISD" sound unfamiliar, that's completely normal. Here's what you actually need to know before you begin.

โœ“

You don't need years of chart-watching experience

The indicator does the range-mapping and confirmation checking. Your job is to learn to read the signal it gives you โ€” that's a much shorter learning curve.

โœ“

You don't need to stare at charts all day

Signals only appear during specific session windows, so you check in at set times instead of watching every candle live.

โœ“

You do need a plan for risk

No tool replaces basic risk management. We'll walk you through position sizing basics in your onboarding guide.

Our honest advice

If you've never placed a live trade before, practice on a free TradingView demo account first. Get comfortable reading the signals with no money at risk before you switch to a funded or live account. There's no rush โ€” the market will still be there next week.

Every beginner falls into the same few traps

You open a chart, see price moving fast, and jump in โ€” because it feels like the move is about to happen. Then it reverses, and you're left wondering what you missed.

It's not that you don't understand price action. It's that without a fixed rule for "wait for this, then this," every candle looks like an opportunity โ€” and that's exhausting and expensive.

CISD Trend gives you that fixed rule.

It won't show a signal until the range is swept, both confirmation candles agree, and price pulls back into the zone. If that sequence doesn't happen, there's simply no trade to take โ€” and nothing to second-guess.

A few terms, explained simply

No need to memorize this โ€” just a plain-English reference so the rest of this page makes sense right away.

Liquidity
Clusters of pending orders (like stop-losses) sitting just above or below a recent high or low โ€” a magnet for price.
Sweep
When price briefly pushes past a range to trigger those resting orders, often right before reversing.
Session
A fixed trading window (like the Asian or London hours) where a specific market is most active.
CISD
"Change in State of Delivery" โ€” the candle where price closes back through a level, hinting the move has flipped direction.
ATR
"Average True Range" โ€” a simple measure of how much an instrument typically moves, used to size stops sensibly.
Risk:Reward (RR)
How much you're risking compared to what you stand to gain on a trade โ€” e.g. 1:2 means risking $1 to potentially make $2.

What "CISD" actually means

Don't worry if this still sounds technical โ€” here's the simple version, step by step.

A CISD candle is the candle that closes back through a recent level after a sweep โ€” a sign the aggressive move in one direction has lost steam, and the opposite side has stepped in.

One CISD candle on its own can still be a trap. That's why this indicator waits for two candles in agreement before treating the shift as real. Two candles closing the same way, right after a sweep, is a much more convincing signal than just one.

1

Sweep

Price runs a session range and grabs the resting liquidity above or below it.

2

CISD candle #1

Price closes back through the level โ€” a first hint that things have shifted.

3

CISD candle #2

A second candle confirms it wasn't just a temporary fakeout.

4

Entry

The indicator waits for a pullback into the zone before it flags you in.

Trading without a system vs. trading with one

WITHOUT CISD TREND
โœ•
Manually guessing where the range starts and ends
โœ•
Jumping in on the first candle that looks like a reversal
โœ•
Fixed stop-loss size regardless of volatility
โœ•
Trading every session out of fear of missing out
โœ•
No clear record of why a trade was taken
WITH CISD TREND
โœ“
Session ranges drawn automatically, every session
โœ“
Entry only flagged after dual CISD confirmation
โœ“
ATR-based stop that adapts to current volatility
โœ“
No setup = no trade, and that's a valid outcome
โœ“
Every signal logged on your on-chart dashboard

5 mistakes almost every beginner makes

None of these mean you're bad at trading โ€” they're just common, and they're fixable.

01

Chasing the first candle

Entering the moment price looks like it's reversing.

โ†’Dual CISD confirmation means you wait for two candles to agree, not one.
02

Trading every session

Forcing a trade in every window out of habit or FOMO.

โ†’No completed sequence means no signal โ€” some sessions simply won't trigger a trade.
03

Guessing stop-loss size

Using the same fixed stop no matter how volatile the market is.

โ†’ATR-based stops resize automatically with current volatility.
04

Not tracking results

Trading without ever reviewing what's actually working.

โ†’The built-in dashboard logs win rate and RR right on your chart.
05

Overtrading out of boredom

Taking low-quality setups just to feel active in the market.

โ†’Fewer, higher-conviction signals naturally slow down your trade frequency.

The exact sequence, on autopilot

01 / MAP

Session mapped

Asian and London ranges drawn the moment they form.

02 / SWEEP

Sweep detected

Price runs the liquidity resting above or below the range.

03 / CONFIRM

Dual CISD confirms

Two consecutive candles must agree, or no signal.

04 / ENTER

Pullback flagged

You get the alert only once price returns to the zone.

What getting started actually looks like

A simple, low-pressure roadmap for your first few weeks with the indicator.

DAY 1

Install and set your session times

Add CISD Trend to your TradingView chart and set the Asian/London windows to your local time zone using the setup guide.

WEEK 1

Watch signals on a demo account

Follow the signals without risking real money. Get used to what a full sweep-and-confirmation sequence looks like in real time.

WEEK 2โ€“3

Journal every signal you see

Note what the dashboard shows for each signal, whether you'd have taken it, and why. Patterns in your own decision-making start to show up fast.

ONGOING

Review your dashboard weekly

Check win rate and RR once a week. Adjust position sizing and session focus based on what your own numbers are telling you.

How this changes your trading

Not just a signal on a chart โ€” a different way of executing.

โ—

Patience over panic

Waiting for dual confirmation trains you to stop reacting to every wick.

โ˜ฐ

One process, not ten indicators

Session box, sweep, dual CISD, pullback โ€” that's the whole checklist.

โ–ฅ

A journal that means something

Every signal maps to the same repeatable reason, so reviewing trades shows a real pattern.

โ—”

Less screen time, more intention

You're waiting for a defined sequence to complete โ€” then you act.

โ–ง

Consistency across sessions

The same rules apply every morning, regardless of mood or how yesterday went.

โ—ซ

A defined "no trade" day

If the sequence doesn't complete, that's a valid outcome โ€” not a missed opportunity.

Built for the discipline funded challenges demand

Most challenge accounts fail from overtrading and inconsistent risk, not bad analysis. A rules-based system fixes exactly that.

Why session-based confirmation fits evaluation rules

Funded challenges reward consistency over frequency โ€” that's exactly what this system is built around.

โœ“

Fewer, higher-conviction setups

Dual CISD confirmation limits signals to sessions where the full sequence completes.

โœ“

ATR-based stops fit drawdown rules

Stop distance adapts to volatility, making it easier to size around drawdown limits.

โœ“

A repeatable process, not a feeling

The same sequence every day keeps entries consistent across the whole evaluation period.

Before you ask

I've never traded before โ€” is this too advanced for me? +

No. The indicator does the technical range-mapping and confirmation work for you. You'll still want to learn basic risk management and practice on a demo account first, which the onboarding guide walks you through.

Do I need to already know ICT or Smart Money Concepts? +

It helps, but it's not required. The "What is CISD" section on this page and the onboarding guide cover the core concepts in plain language.

Does it repaint? +

No. Session boxes and CISD confirmations lock in on candle close โ€” what you see is what triggered the signal.

Will this guarantee I pass my prop firm challenge? +

No indicator can guarantee that. CISD Trend gives you a structured, rules-based way to read sessions and manage risk consistently โ€” sizing, discipline, and rule compliance for your specific firm are still on you.

Which markets does it work on? +

Built and tuned across Gold (XAUUSD), major forex pairs, and BTC. Signal logic stays the same; only volatility and session timing shift per instrument.

Do I need TradingView Premium? +

No โ€” a free TradingView account can run an invite-only indicator.

Can I cancel anytime? +

On the monthly plan, yes โ€” no lock-in. The annual plan is billed once for the full year at the discounted rate.

What happens after the first 100 annual spots are gone? +

The $59/mo annual rate closes and pricing moves to $129/mo standard for new signups. Anyone already on annual keeps their locked rate for that billing year.

How do I actually get access after purchasing? +

You'll get an onboarding email with a link to add the invite-only script to your TradingView account, plus a short setup guide for your session time zone.

Does it still work in choppy or ranging markets? +

Signal frequency naturally drops in low-liquidity or choppy conditions, since a full sweep-and-dual-CISD sequence is less likely to complete โ€” fewer signals in bad conditions is the filter working, not a bug.

Is there a community or support channel? +

Yes โ€” subscribers get access to a support channel for setup help and general questions about reading the indicator's signals.

What's your refund policy? +

If CISD Trend isn't the right fit, reach out to support within 7 days of your first payment and we'll sort it out with you.
